The abandoned historic mansions in Nevşehir’s Ürgüp district have become a tourist attraction after undergoing a successful renovation

The beautiful stone mansions located in the Kayakapı neighborhood, whose residents were evicted after the area was declared a disaster site, were beautifully restored and opened to tourism.

The Turkish people and the Greek Orthodox community had lived in the historic homes.

The area is also home to a 10th century church and an Ottoman-era mosque.
