Istanbul's 13th Criminal Court accepted the indictment prepared by public prosecutors against the U.S. based cleric Fetullah Gülen and 68 other suspects for illegal evidence gathering during the Dec. 25 corruption operation, which was widely perceived as a coup against the elected government.
The court issued an arrest warrant against Gülen and his aide, Sinan Dursun. The court also decided to apply to the Ministry of Justice for a red notice on Gülen and Dursun.
Another court has recently issued a separate arrest warrant for Gülen on charges of demonizing a rival religious group through Gülenist operatives working for the government.
