Authorities have announced that an investigation is being launched into a breach of security at Istanbul's third bridge after two men climbed to the top of one of the towers for a "selfie" they posted online. The country's highway authority said in a statement Pavel Smirnov and Özcan İpar, two free climbers, "likely" entered the site for the bridge currently under construction on Nov. 1 - the election day - when the staff was largely absent from the site. The General Directorate of Highways, which oversees the construction of the bridge spanning the Bosporus, said in a written statement that a private company was tasked with providing security at the site and "those responsible for the security breach in a place monitored by security cameras and personnel would be punished."
