A convict serving time for robbery in a minimum-security prison escaped from the facility after robbing the safe in prison's accounting office in northwestern Turkey.
The man identified as K.T., was in a prison in the city of Kırklareli on charges of robbery and looting when he broke in somehow into the office and stole more than TL 10,000 ($2,876) and $250 before escaping the facility.
An investigation is underway to find out how he broke into the room and managed to break out.
