A section of Istanbul's TransEuropean Motorway (TEM) was inundated when a water pipe burst at the construction site of a metro line on Thursday. The flooding caused a major traffic slowdown on a connecting road to TEM in Istanbul's Metris district. Motorists struggled to advance on the flooded road while the crews worked for hours to drain the water that was shooting up to 2 meters into the sky.
