Metrobus service on the Avcılar-Cevizlibağ line was halted on Tuesday morning, as a truck first hit Metrobus barriers and then slammed into a bus on the line. The incident occurred at around 8.30 a.m.
An earth-moving truck swerved out of its lane and slammed into a Metrobus in Istanbul's Küçükçekmece district, blocking both lanes.
Many passengers on the line got out of the vehicles and walked to their destinations or took other forms of public transportation.
The Metrobus is an articulated vehicle used in public transportation. It is usually a single-deck design, and comprises two rigid sections linked by a pivoting joint.
