11 people were injured after a minibus crashed into a toll gate situated on the Bosphorus Bridge in Istanbul. The accident occurred on the Asian side of the city while its cause has not been identified yet.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals, while the bridge experienced a temporary congestion due to the accident.
After the minibus was removed off the bridge, the traffic resumed to normal.
An investigation has been launched into the incident.
The Bosphorus Bridge is a toll bridge, and a toll plaza with 13 toll booths is situated near the bridge on the Asian side. A toll is charged for passing from Europe to Asia, but not for passing in the reverse direction.
