Canadian Teresa Bryanton, 40, sold all of her possessions and began traveling the world with her daughter five months ago in order to find a new place to build a new life.
Bryanton, a yoga and meditation expert, sold her house, land and automobile after she divorced her husband. She took her 4-year-old daughter, Ashlayn, and left her country on May 4. Bryanton and her daughter, who travel by plane and bus, traveled to the U.K. by plane after leaving Canada and took the bus to Poland, Hungary, Serbia, Croatia, Albania, Macedonia, Bulgaria and Turkey.
After visiting many provinces in Turkey, Bryanton and her daughter arrived at Bartın. She told Anadolu Agency (AA) that she grew tired of work stress and the chaotic lifestyle of big cities and began traveling the world to find a place where she could be alone with nature while needing less money.
Bryanton said she is in search of a peaceful place to be able to spend more time with her daughter and establish a treatment center for cancer patients. "One of the most significant health problems of the present day is cancer. I had friends and family members who lost their lives because of cancer. I want to find a place where I can settle down and open a cancer treatment center," she explained. She said that she dreams about helping in people's recovery with alternative medicine. "I believe that people can beat cancer if they can see the beauty around them and love life itself," she said.
She said she made a two-year plan to travel around the world as much as she can, explaining: "One of the aims of my travels is to find the right place and right people. Because I want to open a cancer treatment facility where I treat people with alternative medicine, local people need to be open to this idea. I will continue my travels until I find a place to do organic agriculture. I will dedicate my life, as well as my expertise in yoga and meditation, to cancer treatment." She also called on people who could be a part of her dream. "My priority is to visit Romania, Spain, India and France. If there are people who could help me to realize my dream, I can settle down in Turkey," she added. Worrying that the world has become a dangerous place due to chemicals used in agriculture, Bryanton said she wants to bring her daughter up in a place where she can eat organic food.
