Thousands to attend international Antalya marathon

International Runatolia Antalya Marathon will take place for the 11th time in southern Antalya from March 4 to March 6. Around 11,000 runners from 40 different countries are expected to attend the event.

The main marathon will be held on March 6 with side events that will take place over the three days. The events will begin with a pasta festival at Terracity Shopping Mall. The marathon will take place at three different distances, the longest of which will be 42 kilometers. Interesting running events like running on high heels for women as well as special running sections for children will color the marathon.

A public marathon will also be held with the participation of 3,000 runners. Özgür Emeklioğlu, the CEO of Turset Project Management, said that the marathon will be a chance for families to stay a few days in Antalya and even have a short holiday. Special travel packages for runners are available.
