Istanbul Modern will host an event for thousands of children on April 23, National Sovereignty and Children's Day. Children between the ages of four and 12 will join nature and art in a program titled "I have dreams for the world." The event will take place free of charge until April 24.
The program starts with informative talks on nature. Subjects including nature and sustainability, plant and animal species and the place of humans in the natural world will be discussed. Afterward, there will be an entertaining journey full of riddles. Children will look for answers to the riddles among art projects at either "The Artists in Their Time" or "Till It's Gone" exhibitions.
In the second part of the exhibition, children will design their own world and later write or draw their suggestions regarding how they think the world should be. During this activity, they can design cards in order to give their family, friends and the people they love as gifts.
Celebrating the Earth Day for the first time as part of Children's Festival 2016, the program will take place on the weekend, from 10 am to 4:30 pm.
