Pop star Katy Perry's Twitter account, the most followed in the world, was hacked on Monday by another Twitter user.
The person who hacked Perry's account, which has nearly 90 million followers, is reportedly another Twitter user based in Romania.
According to some media sources, the user with Twitter account @sw4ylol is linked with the hack, NBC News reported on Tuesday.
The hacker reportedly sent tweets saying Katy Perry misses Taylor Swift and also a link to Perry's unreleased song.
Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have had a rocky relationship.
After a short time, the account was recovered.
Meanwhile, Twitter has refused to comment on the issue due to privacy and security concerns.
"We do not comment on individual accounts for privacy and security reasons," a Twitter spokesperson said in a statement.
