Drinking coffee and reading a book always go hand in hand with a piece of chocolate. This trio returns for a second year in Istanbul, all in a single festival, "Üç Tutku: Kitap, Kahve ve Çikolata" (Three Passions: Books, Coffee and Chocolate).
Aiming to attract bookworms in Istanbul, the festival brings together visitors at the Military Museum in Istanbul's Harbiye quarter and international authors are expected to join the weeklong event.
Bookstands will offer literature in English and Arabic. Visitors can sit and read a book while trying delicious samples of coffee and chocolate or purchase their favorite book finds for their friends and family. The festival program includes exhibitions, workshops, panel sessions and activities for children. It will be a chance to take sips from various cups of coffee made from different beans, taste delicious chocolates, purchase newly published books and have a chat with guest authors.
Aside from tasting specialty coffee, guests can purchase coffee machines, unique coffee cups, an array of chocolates and chocolate-making tools for the chocolate connoisseur. Starting on March 31, the event will continue until April 9.
