Turkish hospitality is famous around the world. Turkish hotel brands are the leading representatives of this hospitality and are known worldwide. And it is now very common to see Turkish hotel brands abroad as well as in Turkey. Taking customer satisfaction with the Turkish tourism sector abroad, Turkish brands are rapidly becoming global.
One of these hotels is without a doubt the Rixos Hotels. Carrying its success in Turkey to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Rixos is excited to open Hotel Rixos Saadiyat today. This hotel is the third in the country after Rixos Premium and Rixos The Palm. The only difference is that this hotel is located in Abu Dhabi, one of the other emirates in the country. Abu Dhabi attracts the most tourists after Dubai. Especially with the Louvre Museum, which opened a year ago, it created a big impact in the international art world. Architect Jean Nouvel's 24,000-square-meter museum, with its modern design, pool areas and dome woven like a basket, is really impressive. It came into being via a 30-year contract between the governments of France and Abu Dhabi; the museum is like a bridge between Western and Eastern art. The museum, exhibiting works such as Van Gogh's self-portrait and French painter Jacques-Louis David's famous painting "Napoleon Crossing the Alps," carries pieces from European art, ancient Egyptian civilization, Asian countries and the Middle East.
The Turkish bath in the hotel has traditional features.
Another cultural attraction near the hotel in Abu Dhabi is the Zayed National Museum, designed by Norman Foster, the U.K.-based architect. The world's largest Guggenheim Museum and the first one in the Middle East, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi was designed by Frank Gehry. The Abu Dhabi Performing Arts Center designed by Zaha Hadid and the maritime museum designed by Tadao Ando are also located in this cultural area. On the other hand, the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, which opened in 2007, has an important place in the city's architectural texture. Construction of the $500 million mosque took six years. Made of marble and mother of pearl, it is a great example of craftsmanship where 41,000 people can worship inside at the same time.
The Rixos Saadiyat Hotel as a Turkish brand is located on an important cultural island that has been declared a natural conservation area by the government of Abu Dhabi. It is forbidden to do motorized water sports since it is the egg-laying area for Caretta Caretta turtles. The dark blue marble located in the lobby area, Chopard bathroom products and rooms with private pools are just a few signs of luxury in this 378-room hotel. Chairman Fettah Tamince, introducing the Rixos Saadeyat Hotel before the official opening, is quite excited. Tamince said: "Turkish culture and Turkish products will be offered to our guests at many points in the hotel. Especially in our overseas hotels, we stand out with our local values like other global hotel brands do. We teach 15 different Turkish words meaning good morning, hello, good evening and bon appetite to our foreign employees in the Rixos Saadeyat and other hotels so that our employees welcome our guests in Turkish. Turkish architects and Turkish products have been used in the construction of our hotel. In the menu, we offer local treats such as Turkish breakfast, Turkish delight and Turkish coffee. We have a great experience in the all inclusive accommodation model in tourism. In this sense, we are ahead of our competitors. We will increase our global brand value by expanding our exports in the service sector. It's exciting and an honor to be a part of the transformation in Abu Dhabi."
Fettah Tamince, chairman of Rixos Hotels.
The huge crystal chandeliers in the lobby of the Rixos Saadiyat Hotel, the snow-covered winter room in the spa area and the over 200-square-meter presidential suite really make you feel like a king or queen. The group's hotels in Dubai as well as its first hotel in Abu Dhabi attract great attention. Especially Rixos Premium on Jumeriah Road that opened after Rixos The Palm is my favorite. Pools for cooling, the crystal piano in the lobby, the ocean view rooms and the long sandy beach are simply perfect. The hotel's Azure Beach Restaurant is very popular for its pool parties at night. The Amos restaurant on the beachfront is ideal for those who love Mediterranean cuisine. In the Turkuaz restaurant, you will find unique flavors from Turkish and Ottoman cuisine. After your meal you can walk along Jumeriah Road and walk around the shops.
When you come to Dubai, one thing you will surely want to do is safari in the desert. This experience with SUVs is simply priceless. On the high sand dunes, spend a half hour driving the vehicles. Rent an ATV in the flat areas of the desert or take surf lessons to ski over the dunes. Arriving at the oasis, after your Safari, local tastes and dance shows welcome you. In short, there is much to do for tourists in Dubai or Abu Dhabi. We hope that the number of Turkish tourism brands will increase in this country of fairy tales.
