Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has been invited to Washington to meet with U.S. President Barack Obama, a senior Palestinian official said on Monday. Chief negotiator Saeb Erekat told Voice of Palestine radio that U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry extended the invitation during a series of meetings last week with Abbas in Paris.
