Today's rising stars of classical music, many of whom have followed in the footsteps of the first musicians sent to Europe to study music following the formation of the Republic of Turkey, such as Ahmet Adnan Saygun, Ulvi Cemal Erkin, Cemal Reşit Rey, Hasan Ferit Alnar and Necil Kazım Akses, will come together for an epic live performance this week.
The Yıldızlar Topluluğu Orchestra, featuring Emre Engin on violin and Can Çakmur on piano under the baton of Gürer Aykal, will take the stage on April 21 at the Cemal Reşit Rey concert hall, offering a sonic feast.
Music lovers will have a chance to see all the rising stars of classical music in Istanbul on the same stage. The orchestra will present a rich repertoire including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Violin Concerto No: 3," "Piano Concerto No: 9 in E-flat major, K. 271" and "Symphony No: 34 in C major K. 338."
