Famous Turkish actress and singer Hülya Avşar said on Thursday that Turkey's newly built presidential palace is not as magnificent as it was claimed after she attended a meeting between Turkish Businesswoman's Association and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the palace.
"I did not find the palace that glorious, not as much as I expected, and not as much as has been exaggerated. I think we will realize how unnecessary all the debates over the place are as times goes by," Avşar told reporters.
Avşar said that it was quite normal for the palace to be that grand since it hosts people like Pope Francis, Russian President Vladimir Putin, and she even joked that she was almost going to say it is more magnificent than her house.
Avşar and other members of Turkish Businesswoman's Association (TİKAD) has announced that they have decided to launch a new campaign in order to improve the conditions of Syrian women and children at the TİKAD refugee camps.
