Following the assignment of trustees to Gülen Movement-linked Kaynak Holding, a 300-terabyte network file which stored secret information about the illicit organization and was to be transferred abroad was captured by Istanbul police during an investigation at the holding's building in the district of Bağcılar.
According to reports, the file which contained information intended for Gülenists in 29 countries did not belong to Kaynak Holding and the prosecutor office has been instructed to make copies of the information stored in the file, which is being referred to as a "black box" of the Gülen Movement. In order to prevent this secret information from being confiscated by security officers, Gülenist hackers reportedly conducted almost 4,200 cyber-attacks but failed to stop expert units who ultimately retrieved the data.
The information was supposed to be transmitted to operatives in Germany, Iraq and even countries which share no trade relations with Kaynak Holding. After their investigation, experts discovered that the network is totally secured from the outside and that none of the intelligence agencies have the sophisticated equipment to interfere with the system.
It is poignant that Fuat Avni, the notorious Gülen Movement-linked Twitter figure, has not posted any tweets on his official account. The system which prevents the detection of Fuat Avni's location will be revealed during the investigation. Investigators are also expected to uncover the real face of these fabricated predictions after the search. The Gülen Movement is a transnational movement led by Fethullah Gülen, who has lived in self-imposed exile in the United States since 1999. The movement is accused of wiretapping thousands of people, including government officials, and encrypting phones using infiltrators within the police force, along with other crimes, ranging from blackmail to extortion and imprisonment of influential movement critics, conducting sham trials orchestrated by judges and prosecutors linked to the movement.
