A committee from the Energy and Natural Resources Ministry is paying a visit to the Gaza Strip to look into providing for Gaza's electricity and infrastructure needs.
The ministry has said that during the visit, which will last until Wednesday, the committee will meet officials from the Palestinian Authority, the Gaza Administration and Israel and conduct a detailed study regarding the supply of electricity to Gaza.
The committee includes senior bureaucrats, officials from Turkey's Electricity Generation Company (EÜAŞ), the Turkish Electrical Transmission Company (TEİAŞ) and the Turkish Electricity Distribution Company (TEDAŞ), which will present a report to Energy and Natural Resources Minister Berat Albayrak in which short-, medium- and long-term solutions for Gaza's energy problems will be discussed.
Albayrak will present the report to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the Cabinet, after which Turkey will determine a road map for Gaza with the private sector expected to play a role.
