Every day, a vast majority of people read newspaper horoscopes to get a peek into their future. For centuries, personality traits have been attributed to the zodiac signs and birth dates; however, Eastern Asians believe that blood type is more than just a biological trait.

In fact, according to some cultures, the blood type's importance to a person's character is comparable to that of astrological signs. There are four different kinds of blood types: A, B, AB and O.

According to the belief, people with type O are optimistic with a temperamental confidence that lends to competitive feelings, specifically concerning physical health and fitness. Type O also tends to be confident, hard-working, honest, expressive, friendly, forgiving, strong-willed, intuitive, curious and generous.

On the other hand, people with type A blood are born to be leaders. They strive for success and are very good at meeting the needs of people around them. Type A people are perfectionists and stubborn; however, they tend to be very anxious in both their daily and business lives.

Type B people are very unique, easy to communicate with and creative, while they are passionate and driven, selfishness takes over from time to time. People with blood type AB are a fine mix of the blood types O and A being friendly and able to adapt very easily to any situation. Although they can have unpredictable moments, they are known to be very rational. The majority of AB blood types are sensitive and idealistic.
