The Darüşşafaka Educational Institute, which participated in the first tournament of the Robotic Competition (FRC) eight years ago, will host Turkey's first official kickoff event. The 2016 theme of the FRC tournaments was announced during the event. Three-hundred students from 23 schools across Turkey have participated in the event. The competitors learned this year's robotics theme of the FRC and received the necessary materials to make their robots. Competitors are required to make robots in accordance with specific qualifications in six weeks' time before sending them to the U.S. The robots that will compete in the U.S. tournaments will represent Turkey.
