Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) will showcase its T129 ATAK attack and tactical reconnaissance helicopter in Poland between Aug. 22 and Sept. 4. The ATAK helicopter, which was included in the attack helicopter tender of the Polish Armed Forces, will be introduced to Polish state authorities, the Polish military and domestic defense industry firms. It will fly over Poland for the first time during the Radom Air Show, which is held on Aug. 22 and Aug. 23, offering visitors the chance to witness the ATAK's performance and outstanding maneuverability at 3:20 p.m. on both days of the show. Visitors will have the opportunity to obtain more information about the ATAK's features from TUSAŞ authorities at TUSAŞ booths.
The promotional tour will continue with a show at Warsaw Babice Airport on Aug. 28. The ATAK will also be demonstrated in flight for Polish and Turkish state authorities, domestic industrial firms and journalists, and TUSAŞ is expected to hold a press conference regarding Poland's attack helicopter program.
The new generation T129 ATAK helicopter, which is designed for multi-purpose use, including attack and tactical reconnaissance missions, is equipped with modified avionics, electro-optical and weapon systems in addition to its modified engine, drivetrains and tail rotors in accordance with the requirements of the Turkish Armed Forces. Known as one of the most effective attack helicopters in the world, the ATAK is optimized for "hot air and high altitude" missions, equipped with heavy weapons and performs best in its class in weight-power ratio.
