Prices on one-day trips, the most popular type of vacation in the harsh cold days of winter, have now dropped as low as 69 TL. While tours arranged for winter locations are the most popular, cultural tours are also seeing significant interest.
The lack of choices for holiday options both domestic and internationally in the month of March is leading vacationers towards day trips.
People are leaving their longer vacation plans for the summer and are seeking out locations to spend alternative one-day trips. Weekend trips are especially seeing demand by urbanites who are booking trips with prices starting at 69 TL up to 100 TL. KARTEPE AND ABANT IN DEMAND
According to Anı Tour Sales Representative Mine Diyenli easy weekend trips are seeing the highest demand. Due it still being winter, Uludağ, Kartepe and Abant tours are selling and every weekend they have a number of buses departing for weekend trips.
In addition, a number of cultural centers located near Istanbul are also receiving demand. For example, according to Jolly Tour operators, trips to Edirne, Abant and Yedigöller are seeing the highest demand. Arnika Tourism, which focuses on cultural heritage trips, has trips on offer to Edirne, Bursa-Cumalıkızık, İznik and Çanakkale.
