The Ministry of Environment and Forestry Department of Nature Conservation and National Parks has officially placed the francolin breed of birds under protection, due to the danger of extinction.
The Gaziantep breeding center has collected eggs from the breed and will begin breeding. What is most noteworthy is the fact that the francolin population is diminishing due to insecticides and hunting.
