Beach fun in five spots in Istanbul

This summer, Istanbullites will be able to swim in the sea from five different locations. The metropolis’ Güneş and Menekşe beaches and Caddebostan’s 1, 2, and 3 are opening up soon.

The five beaches that will soon be open to the public in Istanbul are being disinfected and water levels are inspected every week. Announcing that Istanbullites can go swimming with a clear conscience, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality has completed all of the necessary preparations for the opening of the Güneş and Menekşe beaches located in Florya and Caddebostan's 1, 2, and 3. All beaches operating under the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality are open to the public and some are free of charge. The Güneş Beach and the Caddebostan-1 Beach will be charging a minimal entrance fee. The Metropolitan Municipality will be operating a total of 22 beaches, with 296 lifeguards, 16 lifeboats, 10 rescue jets and seven ATV's. In addition to the inner city beaches under the Metropolitan Municipalities guardianship, it's also possible to swim from the Şile, Ağva, Uzunkum, Durusu, Selimpaşa, Kumburgaz, Silivri, Kamiloba, Yalıköy, Çilingöz and Çanta beaches.
THREE OUT OF FIVE BEACHES ARE FREE

Descriptions of the beaches opening by the Metropolitan Municipality are as follows;
Florya Menekşe Beach: With a shore spanning 620 meters, the beach has three lifeguard stations, 12 bathroom stalls, eight changing rooms, five showers, one food stand and a 100-car capacity parking lot. Entrance is free of charge.
Florya Güneş Beach: The shore on this beach spans 840 meters. There are 42 bathroom stalls, 234 dressing rooms, 48 showers, two food stands, 228 safety lockers and a parking lot area for 300 vehicles. Adults will be charged 15 TL and students 10 TL.

Caddebostan Beach 1: Entrance to this beach is 10 TL. It has a 450-meter long shore, one lifeguard station, restroom, eight showers and two food stands.
Caddebostan Beach 2: Also free of charge, this beach boasts a 300 meter long shore, one lifeguard station, restroom, 14 changing rooms, eight showers and two food stands.
Caddebostan Beach 3: This beach is also free of charge and has a 250 meter long shore. There is also one lifeguard station, one restroom, eight changing rooms and four showers.
