Due to high winds across Istanbul and the Marmara region, sea transportation companies announced the cancellation of ferry services on Tuesday.
Shuttle were also disrupted due to winds gusting up to 75 km/h.
Sea transportation companies linking various destinations across the Marmara Sea, such as Istanbul, Bursa, Çanakkale, Prince Islands announced that they had to cancel some of their commuting services as a result of adverse weather conditions.
GESTAŞ Deniz Ulaşım, the sea transportation company ensuring ferry services between the Dardanel Strait and the Turkish north Aegean islands of Gökçeada and Bozcaada had to cancel all ferry services because of the wind storms, adding that they will not resume transportation until the strong winds settle down.
