Turkey's Prime Minister Tayyip Erdoğan said on Tuesday he was putting off a visit to Cairo next week, but would go once Egypt returns to normal.
Speaking on a day marked by the biggest demonstration so far in the Egyptian capital against President Hosni Mubarak's 30-year rule, Erdoğan had earlier called on Mubarak to listen to his people. Erdoğan had been due to visit Cairo on February 8-9.
