Terrorists stormed a dam construction site in the Şirvan district of the southeastern province of Siirt, setting the heavy machinery on fire and kidnapping eight workers.
According to the information obtained, a group of PKK terrorists ambushed the construction site for a private sector dam. The terrorist first set fire to the ten heavy-duty construction vehicles on the premises and then proceeded to kidnap eight of the workers.
Three helicopters from Siirt's 3rd Commando Brigade as well as a number of soldiers have been dispatched to track the terrorists in an operation supported by cobra helicopters.
