Speaking at a MHP group meeting, Bahçeli delivered the following messages:
" If the Sarkozy administration is truly intent on tracing past genocides then they should begin with their own rancid history, looking into Africa and the Middle East. Our party curses the French Senate's baseless ruling and condemns it with all of our existence. The lobbyists for this so-called genocide should not become hopeful in vain. Those who are using deaths to broadcast from Armenia should not be pleased. Because no one has the strength to make the Turkish nation accept allegations of a massacre."
