Turkey's Grand National Assembly has passed legislation which restricts caesareans unless medically necessary. According to the amendment, if it is medically needed for the safety of the mother or child in the womb, then a caesarean section may be performed. The doctor who performs the surgery however, will not be held responsible for any undesired results to befall the baby or mother from the surgery, despite all necessary measures being taken.
WATER PIPES RECEIVE WARNING
The parliament has also issued legislation making the minimum age to smoke water pipes 18. In addition, a warning and photograph depicting the dangers of smoking will be placed on both sides of the water pipe.
