TURKSAT 4A satellite, a product of Japanese and Turkish engineering was delivered to PM Erdogan during his visit to Tokyo. The satellite will be launched on Feb 15, in Kazakhstan.
The TURKSAT 4A satellite, a product of Japanese and Turkish engineering, was delivered to PM Erdogan during a ceremony. Erdogan visited the satellite manufacturing center of Mitsubishi Electric Company where the TURKSAT 4A and 4B satellites had been manufactured. General Director Kenichiro Yamanishi provided detailed information regarding the satellite during the ceremony Erdogan attended in a white coat and bonnet.
PM Erdogan pointed out that this project is the fruit of the mutual projects carried out in collaboration with Japan in the fields of space, aviation, science and technology. Erdogan further stated that Mitsubishi Electric's manufacture liability under the agreement is now complete. He added that every step taken during the manufacture process of TURKSAT 4A and 4B was supervised by TURKSAT engineers.
Television broadcast and satellite communication signals of TURKSAT reach all of Europe and a large part of the Asia. TURKSAT signals are also going to reach Africa via TURKSAT 4A.
The TURKSAT 4A will be taken to the launching complex in Kazakhstan and launched on Feb 15 by a proton rocket. TURKSAT 4B is planned to be launched in the second quarter of this year.
