Turkey's Presidential Cycling Tour to start on Sunday

ANKARA — Cyclists from around the world are set to embark on a journey from Turkey's Mediterranean resort town of Alanya to Istanbul to win the 50th Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey from Sunday to May 4.
One of the most prestigious cycling events of Turkey, the tour features a course comprising some of the country's beauteous Mediterranean and Aegean coastal towns including Marmaris, Finike, Bodrum, Kuşadası, Alanya and Fethiye.
The last stage in Istanbul will follow a course that connects Europe and Asia through the Bosphorus Bridge.
First organized in 1965 under the name Marmara Cycling Tour, the tour has emerged as one of the numerous occasions to showcase Turkey's natural beauty and has been live-broadcasted by domestic and foreign TV channels since 2009.
