AK Party Consultation and Assessment Meeting to start

AFYONKARAHISAR, Turkey — Turkey's incumbent AK Party's 22nd Consultation and Assessment Meeting will be held Saturday in Turkey's western province, Afyonkarahisar, to evaluate the results of local elections and to prepare a roadmap for the upcoming presidential election.
AK Party's deputies and members gathered last night for its two-day camping event, during which they will discuss strategies for the upcoming presidential election in August.
The annual meeting will start with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's speech on Saturday and end on Sunday. The meetings will be closed to the press except Erdoğan's speeches.
