Daily Sabah columnist, Cemil Ertem’s wife passes away

ISTANBUL — Cemil Ertem's wife, Engin Ertem, was battling with cancer for over a year. Mrs. Ertem lost her battle with cancer after multiple organ failure.

Cemil Ertem's wife was checked into a local hospital on Friday after her condition suddenly became critical.

Cemil Ertem made a statement on Twitter saying, "I have lost Engin, my life partner. Do not with hold her, the mother of my son Deniz, from your prayers. May god rest her soul, may her final resting place be in heaven. Today, we will bid farewell to Engin at Fatih Mosque during afternoon prayers and bury her at Kilyos cemetery."
