ANTALYA, Turkey — The body of a young Turkish footballer who witnesses said disappeared off the coast of Turkey's Mediterranean resort town of Alanya on Thursday night was found Saturday morning.
Divers from the coast guard search and rescue teams in Alanya retrieved the body of drowned Sedat Yüce about 50 meters west of a hotel's beach from where he went out of sight while swimming with three of his friends.
The body, found floating near the pier of another hotel, has been moved to the local cemetery's morgue for a post-mortem.
The 1994-born right back was capped for Turkey's Under-19 national team in the 2013 Mediterranean Games. He had a contract with Ankaraspor from the second-tier division of Turkey.
