Heavy storms expected in Istanbul on Friday evening as IBB prepares

Heavy storms are expected in Istanbul on Friday evening as the Metropolitan Municipality of Istanbul (İBB) is taking precautions to minimize hazards and has alerted all departments regarding the matter.

Disaster Coordination Centre (AKOM) teams are preparing to deal with heavy rains and storms which are expected to reach 30 to 100 km per hour.

The Fire Departments, Road Maintenance and other units within the municipality have taken precautions to deal with potential crises led by the Disaster Coordination Centre (AKOM) and others.
