Police launch anti-terrorism operation in Istanbul

Teams from the police department's counter-terrorism unit have launched an operation in Istanbul against a terrorist organization whose name has not yet been made public, according to reports.
Officers from Istanbul National Police Department's counter-terrorism unit reportedly launched simultaneous dawn raids on Monday at numerous addresses in some districts of Istanbul, which were backed by teams from special operations unit.
Police reportedly searched an apartment building located in Bahçelievler district for an hour before leaving. There have reportedly been numerous suspects detained as part of the operation. Police have offered no details as to how many suspects have been detained or what organization they were targeting.
