Yaşar Kemal, the first Turkish novelist to be nominated for Nobel Prize in Literature, has been transferred to Istanbul University Medicine Faculty Hospital.
It was reported by Turkish media outlets that 92-year old master novelist was unconscious and attached to a respiratory machine.
Kemal is famous worldwide for his masterpiece novel İnce Memed (Memed, My Hawk), as well as many other influential works like Yer Demir Gök Bakır and Yılanı Öldürseler.
