A Turkish Airlines flight attendant Murat Düzer, 31, has been taken to hospital in the Central Anatolian province of Afyon with malaria suspicion, several Turkish media outlets reported on Tuesday.

Düzer applied to a hospital in his hometown Afyon for various complaints and he was taken into intensive care unit with suspected malaria. It has been reported that he was responding to the treatment, but he would be kept under observation just in case.

Another Turkish Airlines (THY) flight attendant, Selda Durmaz, lost her life due to the malaria on Friday night in an Istanbul hospital as a result of mosquito bite in Nigeria, while she was on duty.
