Veterans from Turkish Army marked the 65th anniversary of the Korean War in Ankara yesterday. Veterans, all above the age of 85, were accompanied by South Korean nationals living in Ankara and South Korean embassy staff at the event held at a monument dedicated to soldiers fallen in the war.
Turkey joined its ally the United States in South Korea's fight against North Korea in the war between 1950 and 1953. A total of 741 Turkish troops were killed in the war.
