A 71-year old Irish tourist has been found dead in a hotel room located in the Mediterranean resort town of Marmaris on Saturday.
The family of Dennis Edward Alloway, from Northern Ireland, who stayed at an apart-hotel in Marmaris found him without moving in his bed and called hotel staff right away.
Emergency teams rushed to the scene and pronounced Alloway dead.
The Irish tourist's corpse was transferred to Muğla Forensic Medicine Institution for an autopsy.
His relatives noted that Alloway had a heart condition.
Statistics indicate that many tourists prefer Marmaris as an ideal vacation destination because of the resort's combination of entertainment, accommodation and sea all intertwined within the city. Over half of the approximate 2.5 million English tourists that come to Turkey every year, spend their vacations in Muğla's popular tourism resorts Bodrum, Marmaris and Fethiye.
