The General Directorate of Meteorology issued a warning yesterday regarding a heat wave expected in the southern and southeastern parts of Turkey. Temperatures will rise above seasonal averages in provinces such as Mersin, Kahramanmaraş, Gaziantep, Kilis, Osmaniye, Hatay and Adana this week. Temperatures in these provinces are expected to rise as high as 43 degrees Celsius.
