4.8 magnitude earthquake hits Turkey's northwestern Çanakkale province

In Eceabat district of Çanakkale province in northwestern Turkey, three earthquakes have occurred in a row, measured 4.8, 4.4, 3.3 respectively, at around 05.39 local time.
The earthquake, registered 11.6 km under the earth's surface by Kandilli Observatory and Earthquake Research Institute, did not cause any loss of life and property.
As the earthquakes were perceived intensively in the center of Çanakkale, habitants in the province hit the streets with panic and fear.
