Two unidentified assailants opened fire at the Denizli police station on early Tuesday in Turkey's southern Adana province.
The two assailants initially parked their car in front and then started firing at the police station. After a short exchange of fire, the attackers escaped from the scene.
After investigating the car, police found explosives planted in the vehicle. The police station, surrounding houses, and workplaces were emptied and the bomb was safely detonated from a distance.
Police are searching for the escaped assailants in an ongoing investigation.
