Turkish businessman Halis Toprak died at age 78 after suffering a heart attack on Sunday in Nice, France.

Halis Toprak was born in the Lice district of Turkey's southeastern Diyarbakır province and started his business life in the southern Adana province.

The Toprak holding, owned by Halis Toprak, was active in 30 sectors including the pharmaceutical industry, ceramics, paper, catering and more.

Toprak's funeral will be held today in Istanbul after his body is transferred from France.
