Turkish security forces killed six PKK terrorists during ongoing operations in Turkey's southeastern Diyarbakır province on Saturday, the military announced on Sunday.
Turkish General Staff said in a statement Sunday that six terrorists had been killed in Diyarbakır's Sur district on Saturday, bringing the total number of killed terrorists there to 196.
It also said that two other PKK members were captured in the Cizre district of the southeastern Şırnak province. Several weapons were also reportedly seized.
The army also captured a suspected Daesh member while crossing illegally into Turkey's southeastern Şanlıurfa province, the statement added.
The PKK -- listed as a terrorist organization by the U.S. and EU -- resumed its 30-year armed campaign last July.
Since then, more than 260 members of the security forces and thousands of PKK terrorists have been killed according to officials.
