Prosecutors seek aggravated life sentence for 36 suspects of Daesh terror attack in Ankara

Criminal charges were filed on Tuesday for 36 suspects in connection with the Daesh twin suicide attack near Ankara's main train station that killed more than 100 civilians on October 10, 2015.

The Ankara chief public prosecutor's office is seeking a 100-year aggravated life sentence for each of the 36 suspects.

Some 493 relatives of the victims who lost their lives in the attack were listed as victims in the criminal charge.

While 14 of the 36 suspects were held responsible for the suicide attack, the remaining 22 suspects were charged with being members of the Daesh terrorist organization.
