45 people have been trapped on a bus en route to Istanbul in northern Bartın province Saturday after the bus got stuck on a bridge over flood water.
The Prime Ministry Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) tried to rescue the people stranded on the bridge over a stream in Amasra district of Bartın with earth movers, however, landslips along their way prevented them from reaching the bus.
AFAD officials are set to rescue the 45 people with helicopters departed from Ankara.
