Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Deputy Sibel Yiğitalp submitted a written question in Parliament on Thursday to receive an answer from Interior Minister Efkan Ala to find out the number of new police stations and outposts to be constructed in southeastern provinces.
On Monday the government took an "urgent expropriation" decision in Hakkari, Mardin and Şırnak to start reconstruction work in areas affected by clashes between the PKK and security forces.
Yiğitalp submitted the question: "How many police stations and high security police patrols are there in the three regions expropriated for the construction of police stations?" without clarifying the reason why she needs to learn the number of the new police stations.
