Turkish police detained 15 people in an anti-PKK terrorist operation in Istanbul, a security source said on Friday.
The unnamed source, speaking on the condition of anonymity, said that police conducted operations in 20 locations in Istanbul's Gaziosmanpasa and Sultangazi districts.
In the operation, police held 15 people and seized three shotguns, a pistol, ammunition and propaganda materials.
Police conducted this operation to apprehend PKK suspects accused of damaging public buildings and private property.
Turkey, the U.S. and the European Union have designated the PKK as a terrorist organization.
