Republican People's Party (CHP) Bolu MP Tanju Özcan has criticized CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu for his recent remarks about figures linked with the Gülenist Terror Group (FETÖ) during a rally in southern Adana province.
"With what logic did you mention the names [Nazlı] Ilıcak, [Ahmet and Mehmet] Altan, [Ali] Bulaç in the Adana rally and attempt to make people cheer for you? This was the last tipping point. The CHP is not in a situation that sways it from side to side, without a clear standing point, and unable to solve any crisis," Özcan said speaking to Anadolu Agency.
Underlining that those who were detained as part of the investigation into FETÖ should face a fair trial, Özcan added: "However, it is clear what Nazlı Ilıcak, Mehmet Altan, and Ali Bulaç have done. These people are enemies of the regime, the Republic and the CHP." He said that recent developments are not going well within the party, as it has linked itself with the pro-PKK Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) and FETÖ, and criticized the party administration for not listening to criticism from many members and deputies in the party.
